About SportDrenthe
SportDrenthe is a foundation that has been committed since 1968 to motivating every resident of Drenthe to stay active throughout their lives. As a leading organization within the domain of sport and physical activity, we work towards a well-functioning sports and physical activity infrastructure that contributes to a strong and vital society. Every resident of Drenthe deserves equal opportunities to experience the power of sport and physical activity. It is enjoyable, and it makes us healthier and happier. Through sport and physical activity, we make Drenthe better.
That is why our mission is clear: together we motivate every resident of Drenthe to stay active for life, so that we can build a strong and vital society.
We are working towards a Drenthe where sport and physical activity contribute to more healthy years of life, happiness, and social connection. A province where young and old, experienced athletes and beginners alike, feel welcome.
Our purpose is equally clear: every resident of Drenthe deserves equal opportunities to participate in sport and physical activity. Because it is fun. Because it makes us healthier and happier. And because sport and physical activity make Drenthe stronger.
Everything we do is guided by our core values:
TOGETHER, with PASSION and ENJOYMENT, just DO.
Role of SportDrenthe within the EHLA project
Within the EHLA project, SportDrenthe is responsible for leading both the awareness campaign and the communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities.
In Work Package 4 (WP4), SportDrenthe leads the development and implementation of an awareness campaign aimed at promoting physical activity. This work package focuses on increasing awareness and encouraging behavioural change among target groups. As part of this, SportDrenthe delivers a comprehensive report on the results of the awareness programme (D4.1) and develops a white paper with policy recommendations (D4.2), based on the insights and outcomes of the campaign.
In addition, SportDrenthe is responsible for Work Package 5 (WP5), which focuses on communication, dissemination, and exploitation of the project results. Within this role, SportDrenthe develops a Communication and Dissemination Plan (D5.1) and a Sustainability and Exploitation Plan (D5.2) to ensure long-term impact. Furthermore, SportDrenthe creates a comprehensive communication and promotional materials kit (D5.3), including items such as roll-ups, posters, online materials, a website, templates, and videos.
To monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of these efforts, SportDrenthe also delivers multiple reports outlining the results of communication and dissemination activities (D5.4 and D5.5), ensuring that knowledge and outcomes are effectively shared at both local and European levels.
Through these work packages, SportDrenthe plays a key role in increasing visibility, engagement, and long-term impact of the EHLA project.
